Welcome to Shiba Inu Health UK

This website is designed to provide a single reporting location for owners, breeders and veterinary professionals.

An annual breed report is published online collating all information gathered and this is also  provided to The Japanese Shiba Inu Club of Great Britain and the Association of Japanese Shiba Inu Club. These are the two Royal Kennel Club Breed Clubs within the UK. 

 In order to maintain confidentiality all completed surveys and reports submitted will be treated in the strictest of confidence and anonymised prior to any publication. Raw data will only be seen by the RKC Health Coordinator.

Along side the reporting functions we also actively monitor registrations, imports, exports, breeding coefficients and litter sizes utilising the breed records supplement.  The BVA/rKC Eye scheme results are also reported. As eye test results are accessible to everyone utilising the Kennel Club website, RKC registered names are included in this spreadsheet only.  We would love to hear from anyone with any suggestions on how we can further improve the health and welfare of this breed.
